SPRING HAS SPRUNG AND I COULDN'T BE ANY HAPPIER!!! 

I think a statement like that calls for caps lock to emphasize this moment in time. I am so ready for warm weather you guys. New England is finally letting us taste the warmth of the sun on our skin. Hello vitamin D! 

This season we are going to go through a few trends that is super hot at the moment. First one being ruffles. Ruffles, ruffles, ruffles everywhere! So many different styles, so many choices, not enough places to go, haha! 

Almost anywhere you go you will find this trend. On blouses, on shirts, on skirts, on denim even. I am highly obsessed with it, and have one too many blouses and shirts that are OTS or ruffled. This little number I got a while ago at H&M, and love the victorian-esque vibes I got from the collar and top of this shirt. I think it gave a touch of chique and romantic style to a casual look. 

   

The ruffles go all the way around to the back of the shirt and on the shoulders and up the neck. Love everything about it, including the boxy, flowy fit, and the buttons. Because my outfit was a bit boring and colorless, I wanted to add some color and print. What better way to do this than to accessorize and play with your handbag, and shoes. I loved how well the bright yellow and leopard shoes went together. Yellow is also a huge color of the moment trend. 

To be honest, I think this OOTD hits off so many of the trends this season. We have the printed shoes, the ruffles, the frayed hem denim, and the yellow pop of color. I guess it all worked out lovely and springy. My cross body I think is from H&M from a while back, and my shoes are from Steve Madden. 

The ruffle trend is the biggest when it comes to sleeves. Like I mentioned on my last post, statement sleeves are still such a big thing right now and the ruffles on the sleeves are super popular. I am sure this isn't for everyone but if you look hard enough, there are simple and not so over the top options for you as well. What trends are you loving this season? Will you try it, or skip it?
