Check, Please!

The ever coveted checked blazer!

 When I tell you this piece is everywhere, I mean it is EVERYWHERE. I call it, granny chic meets business casual girl boss. My favorite part about this piece is the fact that it can be worn in several ways and the print is coming out on many different clothing pieces. Such as, skirts, shirts, pants, blazers, coats, etc. My favorite combo is this blazer with a mini denim skirt and an ankle boot. 

    

 This blazer is from Bershka, it's grey with black and white stripes only so for a pop of color I paired it with this red bag and to tie it in I added this shirt with red details from topshop. A blazer is such a versatile piece, you can pair it with a mini dress or mini skirt or short shorts and dress all of that up. Use a longline blazer with anything mini or short to make it dressed up and more sophisticated. Add a slinky blazer for a polished look. Use a pant suit with matching blazer and pants or blazer and matching skirt, which has been super trendy lately. The possibilities are endless for a timeless piece like this. 

 

I love longline blazers. They just fit my body real good, and because I'm vertically challenged, AKA short, I like longline better than one that cuts on the waist. It's no wonder why the shelves and virtual shelves of stores can't keep stocks of these check blazers, they are both casual and office friendly. It can be your perfect transitional piece and roll those sleeves up for that cool girl look. I know a fitting blazer can make a girl look powerful, but sometimes, we just want that oversized, comfy look.
