Hey Hey! Today's post is going to be a round up of places I recommend going and checking out and some pictures of my OOTD. 😉
My husband and I took a mini vacation to Charleston, South Carolina this past weekend. It was only 3 days but we we're so happy to escape the snow storm that hit us here in MA. We certainly didn't dodge the cold though, LOL. We did so much sightseeing and if you ever make your way there, go visit historic Charleston. It's the most beautiful thing. The old buildings and architecture, the story behind the whole city. I guess because of the history behind Boston, this place reminded me so much of back home. There are definitely some places i recommend you checking out, and also go during the warmer months. In the south it translate to go between March and November, maybe even December. All the action is during the summer though, but don't forget it is also very packed around those times. We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Historic Charleston, on King st. Honestly, king st is where it all happens. There is so much food to try and that's where all the store are and coffee shops, tours, etc. Here are some pics of King St. and the harbor view.

The harbor view and streets are from the exact tip of peninsula of Charleston. It's where two of their rivers on each of the sides meet into the ocean. Some of the richest and most noble people lived in this region and these waterfront HUGE houses. Some are made into museums now and can be visited, unfortunately we didn't make it. There's this beautiful little park with a giant gazebo by the harbor as well. I fell in love with the little movie theater I took pictures of, anything of the past and vintage style.
It was so cold you guys, absolutely FREEZING, & that comes from somebody who lives in a place that is cold 10 of 12 months.😂 Here are some OOTD pics i got of this day. I wore a thick turtle neck sweater, a trench coat, and some red booties for a pop of color. I really underestimated the weather when i was packing, i'll tell you that much.

Every where you turn is another chance for a picture. Every corner and every little plaza or park. 3 days was just not enough to visit everything. Unfortunately we forgot our camera for a major part of the day we were there and forgot to take pics of different places we visited but here is a list of things to check out.
- Folly Beach (boardwalk, restaurants, stores, etc.)
- Sullivan's Island (where the fort to protect Charleston in WW1 is located)
- Charleston Market Street
- Kaminsky (dessert and coffee place. Amazing dessert)
- Virginia's on King ( THE BEST southern fried chicken and sweet tea)
- The Slave Mart Museum
- I'On Village in Mount Pleasant
- King street (obviously)
- Magnolia Plantation

Such a charming city! Loved seeing all of your photos. The wine colored booties look good on you. Definitely thinking about getting myself a pair. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you enjoyed the post! It most definitely is a very charming city. reminds me a lot of home, Boston. The boots were so inexpensive as well from target. I literally wear it more than my black or nude booties. You should get them :) thanks for reading and following along.
